Beginnings

Ahh, the Pisces-New Moon is upon us, as the week begins. Just as the New Moon is reborn so, are we also offered a beginnings of sort. This New Moon is a part of a tight stellium in the sign of Pisces, between the Sun, Moon, Mercury and Uranus. As these celestial bodies blend energies, our minds (Mercury) become awakened (Uranus) to the true hopes and dreams (Pisces) of the heart (Moon) and soul (Sun). Elsewhere in the sky, Mars and Saturn harmoniously link up to help concretize (Saturn) plans and take determined steps (Mars) towards realizing them. During this New Moon phase (next 2 weeks), make strides toward knowing your true heart's desires and moving towards fulfilling them.

By mid-week, we get a break from all this easygoing Piscean energy when Mercury enters Aries and quickly moves to harmoniously align with Mars (motivation). We're more driven to say and do what we want...perhaps even with an impulsive, dramatic flair. Things get a bit serious soon after as Mercury link up with Saturn (discipline) and Pluto (intensity).

The weekend features the Sun following Mercury's lead and leaves the quiet, compassionate sign of Pisces to enter the bold, confident sign of Aries. By Sunday, the Sun aligns with Mars and Saturn, allowing us to either be constructive and make some head way with our plans or give in to Arian aggression and stir up trouble.


ARIES ~ Something has been "off" lately. You can't quite pinpoint it. This week's New Moon occurs in your subconscious house and is the perfect time to delve deep and gain understanding to what's been eluding you. But in order to do this, you must first find your own quiet, centered self. Figure out what you need early on in the week in preparation for Mercury and the Sun entering your sign. Their move to your sign gives what you need to take action, if what you uncover requires it.

TAURUS ~ Celebrate your friends, colleagues and those who put a smile on your lovely face. This New Moon happens in your house of friendships. As Mercury and the Sun moves into your house of rest and relaxation, you may need to retreat from your busy word to regain perspective and rejuvenate the soul. It's okay if you're not up to company this weekend. Listen to your body and rest, as necessary.

GEMINI ~ You've been mulling over ideas/plans. This New Moon falls in your career and future goals house. The next two weeks are an ideal time to take well thought out steps toward plans. With Mercury and the Sun entering your house of friendships and associations, the next four weeks are great for networking. Be prepared, however, as you move forward, you will need to give up some things you've been holding on to.

CANCER ~ Expand your mind and be inspired. Be a bit more adventurous and take a little risk. The New Moon in fellow water sign, Pisces, encourages you to tap into your intuitive self and to aspire fulfilling your true desires. Mercury and the Sun soon enters your career and future goals house. They each make connections to Mars, Saturn and Pluto, allowing you the chance to make some of what you might deem impossible, possible. Openness and awareness required :)

LEO ~ What have you been made aware of these past few months? Mars was in an introspective mode in your sign for these past months. This New Moon is asking you now to purge that which no longer serves you and what has become excess baggage that you lug around. Mars is now direct in your sign until early June and is determined to move forward. Lighten your load, dear Leo. You'll move faster and the space you've emptied out makes room for what you truly need and desire now.

VIRGO ~ Partnerships, may they be intimate or business, and the significant relationships in your life are the focus of this Pisces-New Moon. Single Virgos, this is a great time to let the universe know what you want by giving your intentions – who/what do you seek in a partner and, in turn, what you have to offer in a partnership. Coupled Virgos in healthy relationships, celebrate your loving and nurturing partner and partnership. Coupled but unhappy Virgos, open your eyes and “see” the true nature of your relationship and determine where you want to go from here.

LIBRA ~ As if you haven't been accommodating enough, this new Moon occurs in your house of work and service. With Mercury and the Sun each opposing Saturn this week (Saturn  remains in your sign), you are maybe being asked, “What work/service are you putting your energies toward?” Are you expending energy on something that gives you joy or are they dutiful acts? Whichever they may be, any work done with commitment, sincerity and good intentions are always rewarded...even if the timing seems delayed to you.

SCORPIO ~ With the New Moon in your house of love, pleasure and creativity, the universe is asking you to step back and claim/re-claim fun back into your life. If you've been too busy for love and romance, make time for it this week. This can also be a highly creative time for artists, musicians, writers or those about to embark on a creative project. With Mars now at full speed in your career house, this doesn't have to be a time of al work, no play – you are being reminded to find pleasure in your work again.

SAGITTARIUS ~ Family and home life are the focus of this week's New Moon. Connect/re-connect with family (biological or otherwise). Despite cell phones, texting, tweeting, Facebook all well within our fingertips, are we truly “connecting”? With Mercury and the Sun entering your house of fun and children, make time for some quality time with your children or find your own inner child to inspire creativity and re-ignite the fire to what you may have been missing.

CAPRICORN ~ As this New Moon illuminates your house of thought and communication, be open to unconventional ideas and break down walls that keep your mind from soaring. There are no boundaries now to you can dream of or plan for. Yes, hard work will be necessary, but for now, entertain and create excitement to what's forming in your mind. Let that reflect what you truly hope for rooted at your heart's core.

AQUARIUS ~ This inspired New Moon blesses your income house. Spend the next two weeks being aware of opportunities that may increase your financial worth. Feel free to create your own opportunities, especially with Mercury and the Sun illuminating your house of ideas. All that's required is awareness to recognize what is available or can be made available and the commitment to the work that lies ahead.

PISCES ~ This is truly a week made for you! The New Moon in your sign promises a clean slate. Your ruler, Neptune, still cruising through your subconscious house, hints that change begins when your conscious self is made aware of your unconscious drives. Out of the spiritual/psychological realm and into the physical/visible plane. Your unconscious needs/wants/fears/excitement expressed in your tangible world. How well do they mesh with your life in the external life? What are you going to do about that?
