Astrology Forecast for Monday, July 29th 2013

The beginning of last week was quite difficult for me, I had some very intense emotional experiences in relationship to other people: It felt very much like a Full Moon experience to me. I felt very separate from others and it almost was as if some very old patterns were showing up in order to be released. It wasn't easy being a witness to some very dark sides of myself.

On Friday, I had an amazing energy healing that cleared out all the crud. From that point on, I was able to tap back into my higher vibrations, able to see and feel the interconnectedness and perfection of it all again. I realized that I was neglecting myself earlier in the week, not listening to my body, not honoring my emotional and energetic state -- and this got reflected back to me in my interactions with others. I was not at my best, because I neglected to "fill up my glass"…

This week's headline items: a Grand Sextile becomes exact on Monday in the Water & Earth elements; we experience the last Quarter Moon in Taurus on Monday afternoon; on Tuesday we enter a 12-hour Moon VoC at noon EDT; on Thursday we enter a 36-hour Moon VoC around 1pm; on Friday we enter the Balsamic Moon phase (this runs until the New Moon becomes exact on Tuesday of next week); on Sunday, Mercury leaves its shadow phase, at 23 degrees of Cancer (Yay!)

Monday at 12:43am EDT, the Moon moves into steady, peaceful Taurus, where it will be until Wednesday morning. With the Moon in Taurus, we are motivated by the desire for serenity, security, peace and comfort. The Moon is at her most sensual and constant in Taurus. Our basic impulse is to relax, resist change, get comfortable: life… slows… down. We may also be stubborn and materialistic under this influence. As best as you can, stop and smell the roses during this time -- enjoy life and its offerings ;-)

This Moon placement also starts the build-up to the last Quarter Moon…more on that later.

Starting early and continuing throughout Mondaythe Moon in Taurus will make several opportune aspects (forming a Grand Sextile), first to Neptune in Pisces, and later to Jupiter & Mars in Cancer. The former brings lots of opportunities in connection to our spiritual or creative endeavors; the latter helps us expand and get stuff done either at home, with family, or in Real-Estate dealings.

Also on Mondaythe Moon in Taurus makes a Grand Trine, to Venus in Virgo, and to Pluto in Capricorn. This will support ease and flow with regard to our material manifestations. We are good at dealing with reality at this time -- and with making progress toward long-term goals.

A Grand Sextile and two Grand Trines make a "Hexagon" (also called "The Star of David"). This very rare aspect is taking place in the Water and Earth elements, so it is a message to allow and receive, rather than indulge. Tap into your intuition and let it guide you, allow for your feelings to inform you. Take your time, rather than rushing things, trust that everything is happening in its divine timing.

The Hexagon configuration offers us exclusive opportunities and a brilliant ability to communicate with other people. One thing to be aware of is the expenditure of energy, given the increase in many-sided interests and opportunities. Keep in mind also that opportunities are openings, a glimpse of new possibilities -- so "opportunities" are not simply handed to us, tied up with a bow -- we have to "take" them, and make something of them. What will you do with this particular opportunity?

Back to the last Quarter Moon: this will be exact on Monday at 1:43pm EDT, in 6 degrees of Taurusthe Moon in steady, peaceful Taurus makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in fun-loving, attention-seeking LeoThis may bring challenges; however, it also energizes us to face what demands completion or transformation. This Moon phase brings us closer to Aug.6th's New Moon.

During thelast Quarter Moon, we are better served by reviewing those projects we began around the last New Moon -- in this case, that would be July 8th -- as opposed to launching new ones. Out of those projects, what needs last-minute adjustments? What did you discover since then? What did it mean for you? As best as you can, find creative solutions for anything that comes up (whether internally, or with others).

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 3-8 degrees ofTaurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius? If so, you will feel this month's last Quarter Moon quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign inLeo or Cancer, since the Sun rules Leo and the Moon rules Cancer.
